INSTALLATION & TROUBLESHOOTING.

01How do I install and verify the Cronus Zen before the script?+

Start without the script. The first goal is to verify that the Zen, cable and controller communicate correctly.

  1. Install the current version of Zen Studio from the official Collective Minds source and, if necessary, update the Zen firmware. OPEN THE OFFICIAL ZEN STUDIO PAGE ↗
  2. Connect the Zen to the PC using the PROG port when Zen Studio needs to communicate with the device. Use a USB cable that can transfer data; some cables are charge-only.
  3. Make sure Zen Studio detects the Zen. If it does not, try another cable and then another USB port before changing other settings.
  4. Then connect the controller to the port required by your setup and check in Device Monitor that buttons and sticks produce inputs.
  5. Only after this test should you load the AZADRYX script into a memory slot and program the Zen.

Tip: perform the first test with the fewest accessories possible. USB hubs, extensions, adapters or extra cables make diagnosis harder.

02The Zen or controller does not respond on PS5 / PS4: what should I check?+

On PlayStation, always distinguish Zen detection from controller authentication/compatibility. A script cannot fix a hardware connection that has not been established.

  1. Test the Zen in Zen Studio first. If Device Monitor sees no input, check the DATA cable and the port being used.
  2. On PS4, make sure the controller and communication mode match the Cronus setup being used.
  3. On PS5, the method depends on the game, controller type and connection method supported by your setup. Follow the official Cronus method that matches your hardware; do not assume a PS4 setup is identical on PS5.
  4. Restart the console and Zen after changing the connection method. Avoid changing several settings at the same time.
  5. If the controller works but AZADRYX features do not, check the slot and script next: the problem is then probably no longer the console ↔ Zen connection.

For support diagnosis, include: PS5 or PS4, controller model, wired/wireless connection, game, script version and what appears in Device Monitor.

03How do I check an Xbox or PC setup?+

Work from hardware to software so you can identify exactly where the chain breaks.

  1. Connect a compatible working controller with a known-good DATA cable.
  2. On Xbox, make sure the controller authenticates and stays recognized when the Zen is inserted between the console and controller.
  3. On PC, open Device Monitor and verify inputs before launching the game. Temporarily close remapping software that may create a conflict.
  4. Remove non-essential accessories, then add them back one by one. If the issue returns after adding one item, you have likely isolated the cause.
  5. Once the controller is stable, select the AZADRYX slot and test the basic functions before adjusting settings.
04How do I correctly load an AZADRYX script into Zen Studio?+
  1. Connect the Zen to the PC through its programming port and open Zen Studio. If you have not installed it yet, use the official Collective Minds download page ↗.
  2. Open the file/script supplied with your purchase according to its format. Do not rename or modify required files until the initial installation has been validated.
  3. In the programming section, place the configuration in one of the memory slots available on the Zen.
  4. Program the device and wait for completion confirmation before disconnecting it.
  5. On the Zen, select the slot number where AZADRYX was installed.
  6. Test in Device Monitor or in a training/offline environment. If the slot is active but no function responds, check the shortcuts and selected profile in the script guide.

Keep an untouched copy of the downloaded file. If you experiment with settings, work on a copy so you can easily return to the original configuration.

05How do I use an AZADRYX script after installation?+

Each AZADRYX product may have its own profiles, shortcuts and settings. The product page and documentation included with the ZIP remain the reference for specific controls.

  1. Make sure the correct slot is selected on the Zen.
  2. Start with the script’s default values. Do not change several settings at once.
  3. Select the profile that matches your use when the script offers several.
  4. Test one change at a time in a training or offline environment, then keep only the settings that suit your hardware and game settings.
  5. If you reinstall the script, note your custom values beforehand: reprogramming may replace the slot configuration.
06The script does not work: what should I do before contacting support?+

Follow this list in order. It helps avoid confusing a cable, Zen or script issue.

  1. Zen detected? Check Zen Studio. If not: another DATA cable, another USB port, restart.
  2. Inputs visible? Open Device Monitor and move the buttons/sticks. If there are no inputs, fix the controller connection first.
  3. Correct slot? Check the programmed slot number and the one currently selected.
  4. Script loaded? Reprogram the slot with a clean copy of the file if necessary.
  5. Conflict? Remove hubs/accessories and close remapping software on PC.
  6. Specific setting? Return to default values and test one function at a time.

If the problem remains, contact AZADRYX with: platform, controller model, Zen Studio/firmware version, script name and version, slot number, precise symptom description and, if possible, a short video or screenshot. These details make diagnosis much faster.

07Zen Studio does not detect my Zen.+

In most cases, start with the USB connection: DATA cable, a direct USB port on the computer, then restart Zen Studio. Avoid hubs during diagnosis. If the Zen is still missing, check the firmware and the official Cronus recovery/update procedure for your device.

08The Zen is detected but my script seems inactive.+

First check that programming completed without errors and that the same slot is selected on the Zen. Then make sure Device Monitor receives controller input. If all of that works, check the activation shortcuts and script profile: some features may be disabled or depend on the selected profile.
